LIFESTYLE CHANGE

DIETARY & TRANSITIONAL INFORMATION

·        There are some individuals that cannot go from a meat diet to a vegetarian diet overnight.  Therefore, I would advise those who experience that problem to cut down on the meat.  Follow the guidelines given to us in Leviticus 11.  Remove red meat from the diet completely.  Although the cows were included in the clean animals by God man has contaminated them by what they feed them and the hormones they inject them with.   It is best to begin to include garbanzo (chick peas), lentils and some soy beans in the diet.  Soy is high protein and should be consumed in moderation.  Be sure to use a variety of legumes (beans and peas).  Also include brown rice and other whole grain products.   Brown rice gives the full feeling that is lacking when meat is removed from the diet.   Brown rice cooked with peas and served with a vegetable salad or steamed vegetable is a balanced meal.  We were not created to eat flesh foods.   God gave it as an emergency substitute when vegetation was destroyed at the flood.   The records show that it cost the loss of about 800 years of longevity.

·        Include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet.  Fruits are best eaten in the mornings and evenings.  Lunch should include a large vegetable salad with at least five or six different kinds of vegetables.  If it is not possible to eat raw fruits and vegetables then a juice extractor should be used to extract the juices.  The body needs these juices in the unprocessed form.  Remember heat kills vitamins and minerals.  Therefore, our meals should be 80% raw and 20% cooked.  Diabetics must be sure to eat fruits in small portions and eat whole grain with the fruits in order to keep blood sugar stable.

·        Nuts and seeds should be added to the diet.  However, if you have an allergy to them please do not eat them.  Individuals who cannot chew nuts or seeds should use a blender and grind them.   These can also be used to make milk and cheese.  The time has come when we should no longer use milk, cheese and eggs.  Cheese can be made from soy and nuts.  Scrambled tofu can be eaten in place of eggs.

·        Drink distilled water at room temperature instead of juices.  The cells and organs in the body need pure water in order to function properly.  The body cannot use water if it is too hot or too cold.  The stomach has to shut down and either warm it or cool it down.  However, it is best not to drink at mealtime.  Drinking at mealtime dilutes the digestive juices in the stomach and contributes to digestive problems. Try to drink at least half an hour before mealtime and at least two hours after meal.    The formula for drinking water is: weight divide by 2 = X.  Then divide X by 8 to get the amount of eight ounce glasses of water required per day by your body.  If you sweat a lot you require more.

·        Use Herb Teas, Carob powder and coffee substitutes instead of regular teas, hot chocolate etc., and coffee.  Regular teas, coffee and chocolate have caffeine in them.  Chocolate has a poisonous substance called Theobromine in it.  Chocolate is one of the causes of migraine headaches.    Coffee, regular teas, cocoa, colas and their by products are drugs that wreak havoc in the body.

·        Begin to obey the Eight Natural Laws of Health given to us by a loving God who wants us to be well.   In 3 John 2 He says “Beloved I pray that you prosper in all things and be in health just as you soul prospers”.  (NKJV)

He also said in Exodus 15:26 that if we diligently obey and do all that He says he will not put any of the diseases that He brought upon Egypt on us today.
