Recipe from a friend

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16oz) chick peas
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of Tahini sauce (can be found in Mid-Eastern stores)
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt

    Directions: Rinse the chick peas very well and drain.

    Add chick peas and fresh water to pot and bring to a boil.

    Drain (leave some water about 2 tablespoons) Place all in a food processor

    Add 2 cloves of garlic and process on high until "well creamed"

    Add 3 tablespoons of Tahini sauce (can be found in Mid-Eastern stores) make sure you mix it well first.

    Add the juice of 1 lemon. Add a pinch of salt. Blend again in the food processor.

    If necessary, add a bit of water if too thick. Taste and adjust lemon juice or salt if needed.

    You can use 1 clove of garlic if you are not a garlic fan...
