So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word Psalm 119;142

Top personnel of the United States government were involved in the fate of a little Cuban refugee boy who himself was bewildered by all the attention he was getting on the TV and front pages of newspapers. All he wanted to do is play, while contending governments maneuver for his future. All this world attention for one little boy! The two governments involved could well spend this time, money, and energy in working on political and economic programs to benefit the masses in their respective nations; but here they were focusing on one little boy's fate. Can this encourage us to believe that all the massive "machinery" of Heaven is concerned for yours and my individual fate? Are contending "governments" of Christ and Satan interested in us as individuals? We may think we are insignificant, but the more we think about Jesus Christ the more respect the Holy Spirit inspires in our souls for ourselves. When we read that the Father "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son," we are reminded that by the word "world" Jesus meant each individual, that is, "whosoever [individually] believeth in Him." This is hard for us to understand, but we must believe that God is infinite. The Father notices when a little sparrow falls to the ground; and so intense is His personal, individual scrutiny of each one of us that Jesus assures us He has numbered the hairs on each of our heads (Mt 10:29-31)! "There is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too much for me [ah yes! we can't fathom it!]; it is high, I cannot attain unto it" (Ps 139:4-6). When you are pressed and stressed and your nerves are stretched by tensions, take a few moments to read that entire psalm. Pray a prayer, "Lord, I choose to believe I am Heaven's little "Elian," that You do care about me and that You are ready to send every angel to help me in my distress. Forgive me for doubting, yes, for disbelieving the Good News! Now give me grace to 'overcome' by faith!" When the Father put His arms around His Son Jesus, He put His arms around you, for He "adopted" you in Him.

Have you been blessed?
